Indication:
For the treatment of infections induced by numerous Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to amoxicillin. Gastrointestinal, respiratory, urogenital and cutaneous infections caused by amoxicillin sensitive microorganisms ranging from Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Clostridium, penicillinase-negative Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Campylobacter, Corynebacterium, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Brucella, Moraxella, Bordetella, Bacillus anthracis, Fusiformis, Diplococcus, Micrococcus and Sphaerophorus necrophorus.
Amoxinject LA is susceptible for the control of infections caused by susceptible organisms where prolonged activity from a single injection is required. It may also be used to control secondary bacterial invasion in conditions where bacteria are not a primary cause of the disease.
Route of administration and dosage:
- For intramuscular injection.
General dosage: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight (15 mg amoxicillin per kg body weight)
Cattle, Horse: 10 ml per 100 kg body weight
Calf, Foal: 5 ml per 50 kg body weight
Sheep, Goat: 2.5 ml per 25 kg body weight
Pig: 7.5 ml per 75 kg body weight
Piglet: 0.5 ml per 5 kg body weight
- By intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
Dog , Cat: o.5 ml per 5 kg body weight
Repeat after 48 hours if necessary only.
Contraindication:
Do not use in animals hypersensitive to penicillins
Do not use in small rodents

Hypersensitivity reaction
May cause pain due to injection reaction
Warning:
Before the administration of Amoxinject LA, sensitivity of the pathogens should be proven, Amoxicillin is not effective against beta-lactamase producing organisms.

Meat and offal (pig, sheep and goat): 16 days
Milk (cattle): 3 days
