Hefrotrim

Composition per ml: 

Sulfadimidine 200 mg

Trimethoprim 40 mg

Indication: 

Hefrotrim is effective against infections caused by micro-organisms susceptible to trimethoprim and/or sulphadimidine like respiratory, alimentary and urogenital infections, secondary bacterial infections (after viral infections), foot rot, mastitis, arthritis and phlegmones in cattle, calves, sheep, goats, horses and pigs and also skin disease.

Contraindication:

Do not administer this medicament to animals with a severe impaired liver or kidney function, aciduria. Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to sulphonamides.

Side Effects:

Occasionally, temporary swelling at injection site may occur
Folic acid deficiency, crystalluria and/or blood dyscrasias may occur, especially if treatment is prolonged. Hypersensitivity and cross-resistance reactions to sulphonamides.

Route of administration and dosage: 

For intramuscular or slow intravenous

General dose 1ml 10-15kg

Withdrawal periods: 

Meat and offal (cattle) 12days

Meat and offal (horses) 8 days

Meat and offal (sheep/goats) 5 days

Milk 4 days

Storage:

Store below 30 °C

Keep out of sight and  reach of children

Package: 100 ml amber colored bottle.
